A Historical School
Centrale Nantes will celebrate its 90th anniversary. The important historical moments of the school's foundation and evolution are as follows.
July 15, 1919
The Nantes City Council passes a bill creating the Institut Polytechnique de l'Ouest.
March, 1948
The School becomes an Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Ingénieurs and is renamed the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Mécanique (ENSM).
Located since 1978, near one of the most beautiful French rivers the "Erdre".
July 31, 1991
By decree published in the Journal Officiel, l'Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Méchanique becomes : ECOLE CENTRALE DE NANTES, Member of the Intergroupe of Ecoles Centrales..
