Objectifs
Inviscid Hydrodynamics
Introduction to intergral equation methods in fluid mechanics. Representation of scalar fields: Green's formula. Representation of vector fileds: Poincaré's formula.Presentation of specific properties of different kinds of singularity distributions.
Wings and lifting surfaces
Phenomenological and theoretical aspects of lifting surfaces are given. Calculation methods based on different levels of simplification are introduced.
Gravity waves
Hypothesis leading to a simplified water wave model are presented. The accuracy, possibilities of application and limitations of this model are discussed.
