Energetic and propulsion master starts with theoretical courses (gas dynamics, combustion, turbomachinery) which are then applied to study various propulsion plants (internal combustion engines, aeronautic propulsion and spatial propulsion). Experimental methods course includes practical studies and measurements carried out by master students on some research facilities available in the Laboratory (internal combustion engine test bench, turbocharger test bench, shock tube,..)
Courses are taught by various speakers from Centrale Nantes (Internal Combustion Engines Research Team) and others prestigious universities or leading companies (Snecma, Bosch,..).
Different Master thesis are offered in university labs (Centrales Nantes, Cranfield, Eindhoven, Birmingham, Valencia,..) or in companies (Renault, PSA Peugeot Citroën, Delphi, Valéo, Snecma, EADS ) in the field of propulsion.
The aim of the Energetic and Propulsion M2 program is to give students an advanced training on energetic (applied thermodynamics) to study some propulsion plants, in particular internal combustion engines.
Graduate students may prepare a PhD, in particular with the Internal Combustion Engines Research Team of Centrale Nantes, which proposes experimental and/or numerical studies, often in cooperation with automotive manufacturers, on three main topics: combustion/emissions, turbocharging/air management and innovative propulsion plants/hybrid propulsion.
Graduate students may also work for automotive or aerospace R&D.
Graduated with the Master of Science in Design of Systems and Products of Centrale Nantes, Latifah is now a PhD student at Centrale Nantes.
Msc SMA 2009 2011"The courses provided in Centrale Nantes are proficient either for further graduate study or for work as you chose to focus on".
