FAB LAB
Practical implementation around the concept of "Research, Training and Innovation"
Bringing together scientific excellence and the 'learning-through-doing' culture that characterizes the school, a 'fab-lab' platform was launched in 2014 to allow access to new manufacturing capabilities. This facility is available for use by students in project mode and by teaching staff for practical classes, but also by the research groups for their experiments. It is equipped with three additive manufacturing machines (3D printers), a large-scale 5-axis machining device - which can manufacture boat hulls for ocean testing - a project area and machines for practical classes.
