Marinelle El Khoury completed her PhD in the Research Institute in Civil and Mechanical Engineering (GeM) at Centrale Nantes. She was awarded the Centrale Innovation 2023 PhD Prize on 21 November during the organisation's 30th anniversary celebrations in Ecully.

Stanford University has updated its list of the world's most cited researchers by their peers for their scientific work. The list, which represents the world's most influential researchers, is based on an international transdisciplinary database.

The Shanghai 2023 "Marine/Ocean Engineering" GRAS ranks Nantes Université, which includes Centrale Nantes, France's leader player in ocean engineering, in 41st place worldwide. This makes it the first and only French institution in this ranking*, which lists the world's 50 best universities per academic subject.

Centrale Nantes is ranked in top 300 for Engineering and the top 500 for both Physical Sciences and Computer Science in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject 2024, out today.

Centrale Nantes ranks 11th in the Figaro étudiant ranking published on 16 October 2023.

Siddhartha H. Ommi was one of two finalists to receive a Ioannis Vardoulakis PhD prize at the annual ALERT Geomaterials workshop held in Aussois from 25 to 27 September 2023.

Rana Al Nemer, postdoctoral researcher at the GeM in the Environmental Geomechanics Research Group, received the Best Poster Award at the ALERT Geomaterials workshop held in Aussois from 25-27 September 2023, for her poster titled “Multiphase Flow through a Granular Material under Hydro-Mechanical Loading.”

Centrale Nantes is ranked in the world's top 500 in the latest Times Higher Education World University Rankings published on 27 September.

Imane Elkhaldi, who holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from Centrale Nantes, received the award at the Congrès Français du Génie Civil, held at the École Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay in May 2023.

The congrès Français du Génie Civil (French Civil Engineering Congress), organized by AFGC, AUGC and École normale supérieure Paris-Saclay, was held in Gif sur Yvette from 23 to 25 May 2023.

Emmanuel Rozière, Professor and Director of Sustainable Development at Centrale Nantes, won the AFGC 2022 prize. It was presented to him on 3 May 2023 by Emmanuel Ferrier, chairman of the association's Scientific and Technical Committee.

Centrale Nantes confirms its excellence with a 7th place in L'Étudiant's ranking of French engineering schools published on 9 February 2023.

Centrale Nantes is positioned in the top 600 in the latest Times Higher Education World University Rankings out on 12 October. At the national level, the school is the 5th ranked engineering school.

Centrale Nantes has once again made its mark in the U-Multirank ranking. In the 2022 edition, the school is one of three French institutions with the highest number of overall top scores.

The 2022 edition of the Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects is now out. Centrale Nantes stands out in Mechanical Engineering, climbing to the top 151-200, and entering the Management ranking in the top 301-400.

Stanford University has recently published an updated list of the top 2% most widely cited scientists in different disciplines - the World's Top 2% Scientists. 16 researchers from Centrale Nantes are included in the updated list - up from 9 last year.

Congratulations to Soukaina Riad, PhD student at the GeM and winner of the CSMA 2022 Poster Award for her paper in the category "Lifetime of structures" at the 15th National Conference on Structural Computations - CSMA 2022.

Centrale Nantes features in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings for the fourth consecutive year and is ranked in 8th place among the French institutions in the ranking.
