"SME cybersecurity advisor" training programme

This programme meets the specifications set out by ANSSI (the French national authority in the area of cyberdefence and network and information security).

  • Company employees
  • SME managers - whose role it is to protect and maintain the security of company information

Duration: 24½ hours min – 28 hours max according to selected options

Dates: 14 & 21 May, 11, 18 & 28 June 2019

Programme objectives:
  • master the challenges of cybersecurity for business
  • use the appropriate tools to protect personal and professional information on different networks.

Skills focus:

  • Analyse the needs and propose solutions in response to information security issues within the structure.
  • Manage cybersecurity in small and medium-sized businesses and implement the security procedures inherent to functional needs.
  • Conduct information security projects by respecting and enforcing information security obligations and responsibilities.
  • Advise and make recommendations to the company's stakeholders with regard to the technical and legal practices to adopt.
  • Protect and maintain the security of information systems using means and resources that can be mobilized internally and externally.


Module 1: Problem analysis and project support – 7 hours
  • Information System problem analysis - 3 hours
  • Project implementation support – 4 hours
Module 2 – Information security basics – 10½ hours
  • Cybersecurity: general principles, issues and general legislation – 3½ hours
  • Good practices for IT users – 3½ hours
  • Cybersecurity management and organisation – 3½ hours
Module 3: Choice of four options:
  • Cybersecurity and protecting innovation – 7 hours
  • Internal information system security – 7 hours
  • External information system security – 7 hours
  • Internal Internet site security – 10½ hours

  • Knowledge: E-learning, presentations, exercises and tests
  • Skills: case studies, practical exercises and project work
  • Cross-functional skills: brainstorming, creative sprint and project work

  • Dedicated training room (inter-company) with the option of holding intra-company training on your own premises.

Assessment and evaluation

  • Continuous assessment: Each module is evaluated synchronously or asynchronously by the teaching methods used and chosen by the trainers.
  • Final evaluation: The knowledge and skills acquired will be evaluated via presention of the participant's project before a board. Thus the participant is assessed based on his/her ability to apply the tools and methods, as covered on the training programme, to the problem identified at the outset.
At the end of the training programme, an attendance and training certificate is given to the participant together with the board's appreciation of the knowledge and skills acquired by the participant.
