E-health: a solution to health challenges
Given that more and more patients search for medical information online –frequently coming across sites with inaccurate information - and that drug poisoning is one of the leading causes of hospitalization in France, Valwin aims to support health professionals in their digital approach, in order to reconnect them with patients and to re-establish pharmacists and doctors as the points of reference for healthcare.
The health sector is already facing major challenges such as caring for increasing numbers of frail and dependent people and patients with chronic diseases, and medical deserts. Expectations are thus high for e-health and its new technologies (web platforms, mobile applications, connected objects, telemedicine ...) and in new ways of managing healthcare that it could bring about. The interactivity associated with e-health allows for new forms of coordination between health professionals and patient-carer relationships, adjustments in the course of treatment with the analysis of health data and prevention and patient education.
The solutions proposed by Valwin
Valwin, which specializes in the management of big data in healthcare, therefore proposes to support healthcare stakeholders in their digitisation by developing a patient relationship management (PRM) that is adapted to each type of healthcare professional.
The startup has two goals:- facilitate the digitisation and coordination of health professionals
- enable patients to manage their health online, thanks to the health professionals they trust
ePharma: PRM for pharmacists, an interactive web platform for pharmacists to:
- enhance one’s pharmacy and expertise on the web
- develop new roles: make appointments for pharmaceutical interviews, screening, therapeutic education
- support patients who manage their health online: prescription reservations, appointments, secure messaging
- enhance one’s practice and its specialisations on the web
- facilitate management: appointments, secure messaging, therapeutic education
- support patients who manage their health online: making appointments easier, secure messaging
