Centrale Nantes is recruiting a new director for a 5-year term (renewable once). The start date for this full-time position is 01/06/2020.

Centrale Nantes is a leading French engineering school, founded in 1919, which hosts 2,400 students, 100 teachers and teacher-researchers, 300 administrative and technical staff. It confers engineering, master's and PhD degrees. At Centrale Nantes, research and training are organised into three key areas: manufacturing, energy transition and engineering for health, and rely on large-scale technological platforms. Centrale Nantes aims to promote its teaching and research at the international level.


The position is open to candidates of any nationality with a vocation to teach at the school. High-level management experience as well as a good understanding of higher education and research issues are required. Above all, the candidate must be able to set out his/her vision for the school, its future and its possible developments. He/she must be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with all the school's stakeholders and partners at local, regional, national and international levels.
