Guest Professor at Centrale Nantes: Francesca Casini

Dr. Francesca Casini, of the Dipartimento di Ingegneria Civile e Ingegneria Informatica, Università degli studi di Roma "Tor Vergata" (Italy), will be on the Centrale Nantes campus at the invitation of Anne-Laure FAUCHILLE of the GeM Laboratory from 12 to 20 December 2019.

Centrale Nantes

from December 12, 2019 to December 20, 2019

Dr. Francesca CASINI is one of the two international members of GeM-led ANR STOWENG project (2018-2021). During her stay at Centrale Nantes, she will first be trained on the biaxINSOLITT, a new machine adapted to the injection of fluids in granular materials, financed by CPER PRIC MER (2015-2020). Francesca CASINI's visit will also be particularly useful in developing an experimental procedure for the measurement of permeability of unsaturated granular media with the presence of fluids of different viscosity (water-oil), to better characterize the tests performed in biaxINSOLITT. Her visit to the GeM therefore aims to strengthen the experimental skills of the MEO team in soil mechanics around the ANR STOWENG project.

Francesca CASINI will also give a seminar on her research activities in soil mechanics in the MEO team, which will be open to students of the Master Programme in Civil Engineering.

Francesca CASINI is an Associate Professor at the Dipartimento di Ingegneria Civile e Ingegneria Informatica, Università degli studi di Roma "Tor Vergata" (Italy). She is invited to the Centrale Nantes campus on the initiative of Anne-Laure FAUCHILLE of the GeM laboratory and member of the MEO team.
