Carole Moreau, Pôle Atlantique poleatlantique@ec-nantes.fr

The economic crisis has been a prevailing concern since 2008-2009 and the landscape is not about to change. The building industry remains one of the key sectors affected. Public and private building budgets are tighter, the regulatory environment is stricter and there is increased pressure on the land in areas like the west of France.

New data must therefore be taken into account by designers to propose buildings that are economical in terms of investment and / or sustainable to enable easy and economical occupation. Budgetary control of the project depends on the competence of the construction economist at all stages of a project, from building programming until end of use.

Training objectives:

  •     Understand the economic aspect in the architectural project.
  •     Identify the role of the construction economist among other project management stakeholders
  •     Use good financial methods for study and costs.
  •     Use the orders of magnitude of construction costs.

Speaker:

Olivier Vallée - Construction economist - Carré d'Aire
