Visit the first offshore wind turbine

Centrale Nantes and the Pays de la Loire Region invite you onboard to visit Floatgen - the first offshore wind turbine in France.

SEM-REV, ​​Centrale Nantes' offshore test site, is playing an important role in the development of the Marine Renewable Energy industrial sector in France. It is fully equipped to monitor the site and the devices installed.

One of the projects hosted on the test site is FLOATGEN, the only offshore wind turbine - be it fixed and or floating - to be installed in France. Project partners include Idéol, Centrale Nantes and Bouygues Travaux Publics. This offshore visit will be an opportunity to see it in operation. Both the Centrale Nantes test site and the Floatgen project receive backing from the Pays de la Loire Region.




PROGRAMME


1.15 pm - Meeting point at La Turballe Marina, opposite Tourist Information
1.30 pm - Boarding and boat trip out to the site and SEM-REV presentation
2.30 - 3.00 pm - Arrival on site, site tour and Floatgen presentation
3.00 - 4.00 pm - Return trip to La Turballe Marina

This visit is funded by the Pays de la Loire Region as part of the Mer XXL Exhibition, which will take place at the Nantes Exhibition Center from 29 June to 10 July.
