Sustainable Development Initiative

The Sustainable Development Initiative informs the drawing up and management of sustainable development policy across the different school activities: teaching and training, research, environmental management of the campus, social and local policies.
A steering committee has been put in place to assesses the direct impact of the establishment, to propose measures to improve campus management and to check that such measures are correctly implemented. Its scope includes energy, water and waste management, purchasing policy for materials and services, working conditions and hygiene, preserving biodiversity.

The Centrale Nantes Sustainable Development Initiative is chaired by Arnaud Poitou and piloted by Emmanuel Rozière, Sustainable Development Advisor.

The Initiative acts in an advisory capacity for the Executive team in order to take account of sustainable development within the strategy and governance of the establishment.

A steering committee, chaired by Bruno Pettinotti, composed of representatives of the different stakeholders - school authorities, teaching staff, researchers, students - also contributes to the Initiative on a voluntary basis.
