OCEAN DEMO
The new Interreg NWE Ocean DEMO project was launched in January 2019. It provides funding to test sites to facilitate access for developers of marine renewable energy technologies to test their products or services in real-life conditions.
- EMEC - European Marine Energy Centre, UK – Project leader
- DMEC - Dutch Marine Energy Centre, Netherlands
- Centrale Nantes / SEM-REV, France
- BLUEWISE MARINE - Ireland
Ocean Demo is funded by the Interreg North West Europe (NWE) programme, which is part of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Ocean DEMO follows on from the success of the FORESEA project, which supported the testing of unique prototypes at sea. FORESEA has helped to prove the potential of Marine Renewable Energies, with 26 technologies deployed.
