Centrale Nantes and members of the Nantes Université PUI (Innovation and Partnership Centre) invite you to take part in the 8th edition of Deeptech Starter to explore the entrepreneurial potential of your research outcomes.

What is Deeptech Starter?

Deeptech Starter is a support programme designed to guide you through the process of turning your research into a startup, with the following aims:

• Raise awareness of entrepreneurship and intellectual property protection
• Introduce the various ways researchers can be involved in a startup
• Give you the opportunity to experience startup creation with your project
• Explore innovation pathways that align with your future goals

Programme Content

20 hours of immersion in entrepreneurship over two months, including:

• A collective, in-person day to get to know each other and discover the innovation ecosystem, innovation project management, the different ways researchers can get involved in starting a business, and testimonials from researcher-entrepreneurs;
• Video conferences on intellectual property and the art of presenting an entrepreneurial project in a convincing manner;
• A day-long in-person workshop to begin building an offer;
• Two individual coaching sessions;
• A committee of experts to guide projects according to needs and aspirations.

Schedule

• 28 April 2026: Launch day and in-person conferences
• 29 April 2026 (morning): Online conference on Intellectual Property
• 6 May 2026 (morning): Online training – “Engage and Persuade Your Audience”, Session 1
• 18 May 2026: visio de préparation de l’atelier Business Design
• 29 May 2026:  In-person Business Design workshop
• 5 June 2026 (morning): Online training – “Engage and Persuade Your Audience”, Session 2
• 26 June 2026: Final in-person project presentations
• Plus, two individual coaching workshops

Who can apply?

• You are a researcher or PhD student at Centrale Nantes
• You wish to increase the impact of your research
• You are interested in exploring the entrepreneurial potential of your reserach

The most important criteria are that you have research results with potential for commercial or societal impact, and a desire to explore the path of startup creation. You do not need to lead the project yourself.
