Take part in the Startup Challenge 2023
A startup challenge designed for students in the Ecoles Centrale Group with an entrepreneurial project.

The Startup Challenge, which was launched eight years ago by the US Education Fund and Centrale Lyon, rewards high potential entrepreneurial projects. Open to all Centrale Group students, this competition is a unique experience to test your project, gain visibility and boost your start-up, with $15,000 up for grabs for the grand prize winner. It is also a unique opportunity to pitch to a jury, to benefit from a mentoring programme and to meet the alumni network.

Competition dates
- 1 February to 31 March: round #1 - call for applications
- May: projects selected for the kick-off of round #2
- 30 June: Round #2 closes
- July : 3 finalists will be announced
- 21 October: awards ceremony in Phoenix, (USA)
Prizes
- 1st prize $15 000
- 2nd prize $5 000
- 3rd prize $2 000
Eligibility criteria
- A well-defined project (identity, ambition, mission) with a clear idea of the product and market
- A complete team (at least one of the founders must be currently enrolled at one of the Écoles Centrale Group schools)
- In the R&D phase or with a first version of the product
- Ideally a pilot to come or being launched
- A clear business model and a realistic and reliable business plan
- Your application must be submitted wholly in English
