The creation of start-ups belongs to modern-day mythology in our society. Large numbers of students today embark upon an entrepreneurial adventure directly after graduation. Likewise, many executives and engineers are taking control of their destiny and starting their own entrepreneurial projects.

After debunking the myths associated with entrepreneurship, Sébastien RONTEAU will focus on the foundations of ‘effectual thinking’ - an approach promoted by Saras Sarasvathy - which is intended to account for how successful entrepreneurs think.

Start an entrepreneurial project:

  • a method to understand: what effectuation can do for you
  • testimonials from graduates for a practical and pragmatic view
  • a dynamic and interactive format for discussion and contacts to get started

    6.30 - 8.30PM

Sébastien RONTEAU, Associate Professor in Entrepreneurship at Audencia Business School and Director of the Centrale-Audencia-Ensa Nantes Incubator of the three schools of the Centrale Nantes, Audencia Business School and Ensa Nantes Alliance.

Graduate of the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan and holder of a PhD from the Ecole Centrale Paris, he has dedicated his time in recent years to the development of entrepreneurial orientation and innovation amongst students (awareness, training and support) in business and engineering schools. His areas of expertise include business models, entrepreneurial cognition and the entrepreneurial process and intrapreneurship.
