on December 10, 2025

This annual event brought together 80 people: students from the Erasmus Mundus EMship+ programme, recent graduates, teaching and research staff and administrative staff from academic partners, as well as industrial partners.

Over three days, participants had the opportunity to share ideas and experiences through a comprehensive programme:

A representative from the EACEA (European Education and Culture Executive Agency), which manages part of the funding for Erasmus Mundus programmes, also attended the event and had the opportunity to meet students and staff from the various academic partners.

EMship+ Master programme

EMship+ (Advanced Design of Sustainable Ships and Offshore Structures) is an Erasmus Mundus programme created in 2011, of which Centrale Nantes is a partner. The programme offers training in naval and offshore structure design. The consortium of partners includes Centrale Nantes, the University of Ghent (coordinator), Dunărea de Jos University in Galati, the University of Rostock, the Technical University (IST) of Lisbon, the University of Liège and the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM). ICAM Nantes is one of the associate partners, along with nine other European and non-European universities.

With more than 300 graduates, many of whom work in Europe, the EMship+ alumni network is active, organising regular meetings and sharing job offers. Around twenty PhDs have been completed by former students of the programme at the various partner universities. The Erasmus Mundus EMship+ Master's programme has also led to new collaboration between the academic and industrial world.
