Renault/Ampère Chair Scientific Conference: Electric Vehicle Control, Management, and Diagnostics

When academic research transforms electric mobility: discover how the work of Centrale Nantes at LS2N and Ampère/Renault is already being applied to Renault vehicles—and what innovations are in store for the mobility of tomorrow.

Renault Group/Ampère and Centrale Nantes – LS2N are pleased to invite you to a scientific conference to mark the renewal of their research chair on electric vehicles, the result of a strategic partnership initiated in 2016.

This event will provide the opportunity to talk directly with the chair holders about the scientific advances that have already been made and the next steps in close collaboration between academic research and industrial expertise.


 

Programme

  • Opening remarks by Jean-Baptiste Avrillier, Director of Centrale Nantes
  • Presentation by Franck Plestan, Dean of Research, and Frédéric Meslin, Director of Development at Centrale Nantes
  • Speech by a representative of the LS2N management  team
  • Presentation by Prof. Malek Ghanes (Centrale Nantes/LS2N), Jean-Philippe Mercier, Expert Leader HEV System & E-Motor – Ampère, and Abdelmalek Maloum, Expert High Voltage Components Control – Ampère on the major scientific results already incorporated into Renault vehicles (22 patents filed, 19 international publications, 26 presentations at international conferences)
  • Focus on new areas of research to prepare for the mobility of tomorrow:
    • Optimizing range, efficiency, and driving comfort
    • Making vehicles active participants in the electrical grid (Vehicle-to-Grid, Vehicle-to-Home, etc.)
    • Extending the lifespan of critical components
