2016 Theme: The hospital at the heart of the network: emergencies and connected medicine.

Emergency hospital treatment has constantly adapted to society's high expectations. Biomedical technology brings its share of solutions to the equation. On this new theme for Journées d'ingénierie biomédicale, numerous experts will present and share their ideas, work and innovation.

Connected hospitals, smart hospitals, digital hospitals... the world is changing, so are hospitals! The digital revolution will disrupt the medical world in the same way it has already begun to transform the rest of the economy. Biomedical engineers have to be prepared to understand the concepts and challenges which will structure the hospital of the future.

The pace of change is very fast: low bandwidth networks, big data, communication equipment - all new tools that we need to get to grips with.
