Very high attendance at the RESOURCECODE Marine Data Toolbox webinar

The webinar presenting the "RESOURCECODE Marine Data Toolbox" and the associated sea state hindcast, organized on Thursday, March 10, 2022 by Ifremer and the project partners, was a great success with the participation of more than a hundred listeners from the research community and industry.

On March 10, 2022 from 11:00 To 23:59

This webinar was an opportunity for the partners of the RESOURCECODE project (Ocean energy Era-Net Cofund) to present the "RESOURCECODE Marine Data Toolbox". This toolbox, more specifically dedicated to Marine Renewable Energies, provides developers with a sea state hindcast database and a set of standard functions for wave resource assessment and marine operations management.

The hindcast covers a period of 27 years (1994 - 2020) and provides data on a large area covering the European continental shelf, from the Faroe Islands to the Strait of Gibraltar. The statistical tools implemented allow developers to carry out the studies necessary to reduce the uncertainties associated with the assessment of environmental forcing conditions and thus reduce the risk associated with an investment in innovative technological concepts intended to be deployed at sea.

In addition to the presentations and demonstrations made during this webinar, the developers of the toolbox were able to answer questions from participants, thus initiating the establishment of a future user community.
