MINI PORTRAIT
Originally from Paris, I joined Centrale in 2009. I enrolled for a double degree at Cranfield University because it is one of the few universities to have a motorsport program and develops strong links with the motorsport industry.
I did an internship on the design and racing of an endurance racecar for «Les 24 heures du Mans» then I moved to Germany for my final internship. I thus had a second international experience in Munich.

YOUR CURRENT POSITION
I am currently working for Renault Sport F1, as simulation engineer, focusing on the energy management in preparation of upcoming Grand prix. My main task is to provide the performance engineers with the tradeoff in terms of laptime, fuel and electrical energy consumption of the different running modes of the Power Unit (internal combustion engine, electrical motors and battery pack) before they arrive on the track.

HOW IS YOUR TRAINING HELPING IN YOUR JOB TODAY?
This course at Cranfield was a huge opportunity to step in the world of racing by applying the skills learnt during my two years at Ecole Centrale de Nantes to the development and running of racing cars.

ADVICE FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS
This international experience was a real opportunity to widen my way of thinking by working in a different environment which can be very valuable when struggling on a project. Things can be a bit difficult at the beginning (some accents from England countryside are not covered in the TOEIC..!) but when looking back after having finished, it really is worth hanging on and leaving the comfort of Ecole
Centrale de Nantes’ campus.
