Call for applications to sit as an external member on the boards of Centrale Nantes

Centrale Nantes is inviting applications to appoint, to the governing boards of the school – which are due to be renewed from December 2026 – individuals from outside the institution who represent the business sector, scientific or cultural organisations, and major public services.

From September 7, 2026 to October 11, 2026 All day

These individuals are as follows:

  • Board of Governors (responsible for the university’s general policy): 9 external members;
  • Scientific Council (responsible for the university’s research and innovation policy): 5 external members;
  • Academic Council (responsible for the university’s educational policy and student life): 2 external members.
  • Board of Governors of Nantes University: 1 external member.

Their term of office is four years.

Applications must include:

  • a cover letter in which candidates must indicate their business sector and any links with Centrale Nantes,
  • a curriculum vitae,
  • a copy of their identity card.

Applications will then be reviewed by a selection committee, which will put forward proposals for each of the councils. Each council will then deliberate on each of the candidates proposed by the selection committee, with the exception of the appointment of the external director to the Board of Governors of Nantes University, which will be made by the Board of Governors of Nantes University on the recommendation of the Board of Governors of Centrale Nantes.
