Centrale Nantes confirms its commitment to sustainable development in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2021

Centrale Nantes features in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings for the third consecutive year.

The Times Higher Education "Impact Rankings" 2021 assessed 1,115 higher education institutions in 94 countries, according to the United Nations' 17 sustainable development goals defined by the United Nations.

Centrale Nantes is ranked in the top 600 worldwide and in 12th place among the French institutions in the ranking.

Centrale Nantes performed well on six goals in particular:
 
  • Promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth, employment and decent work for all (top 200);
  • Build resilient infrastructure, promote sustainable industrialization and foster innovation (top 200);
  • Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts (top 200);
  • Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all (top 300);
  • Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns (top 300);
  • Reduce inequality within and among countries (top 300)

The school's presence in this ranking reflects staff and student commitment to climate challenges. Based on our firm belief that training, research and innovation are essential for understanding the phenomena and identifying possible solutions, the school is committed not only to supporting sustainable development goals through our teaching, research and knowledge transfer, but also to embodying these goals in our internal practices, policies and procedures.
