Conference - What is happening to the ocean (and what can we do about it)? with Marina Lévy

The Ecological Transition Mornings are back for a new season. This year's theme: Water and climate change: from sharing to adaptation strategies.

On December 4, 2025 from 10:15 To 12:15

This new series of morning talks on ecological transition will explore the growing tensions surrounding water (whether in terms of governance, resources, biodiversity, or environmental justice) in a context of global climate instability.

For the first conference, we welcome Marina Lévy, CNRS Senior Research Fellow at the Laboratoire d’Océanographie et du Climat (Oceanography and Climate Laboratory). Marina Lévy has dedicated her career to exploring and understanding the complex interactions between the ocean, climate, and biodiversity. Last June, she participated in the United Nations Ocean Conference, where the Starfish Barometer, the first global ocean health report she co-created, was presented.

The conference (in French) is open to all upon registration.

It will take place at Centrale Nantes on Thursday, December 4, 2025, in lecture theatre A, from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

What are the Ecological Transition Mornings?

Every year, a group of students following the Engineering for Ecological Transition option organises conferences on ecological issues. It is an opportunity to learn a little more and to debate with the key players in ecological transition.
