Jean-Baptiste Thony is a former student of Centrale Nantes who started his career working for large industrial groups. His strong ecological awareness led him to leave his company to devote his efforts to alternative projects. He became involved with the ANV-COP21 Gironde association, then co-founded Low-Tech Bordeaux before becoming a municipal councillor in charge of circular economy in Bordeaux City Hall, under Pierre Hurmic, Mayor of Bordeaux.

He will give a talk on the theme: "The Low-Tech approach applied to regional municipalities".
