Food redistribution and waste recycling at CIRP Design 2018

The CIRP Design conference organized in May by Centrale Nantes and the LS2N brought together a hundred participants from around the world. Several contracts were signed with the event caterer to recycle waste and redistribute surplus food.

A total of 65 kg of food and organic waste was collected across the three-day event for recycling/redistribution.
  • 20 kg of surplus food redistributed via the Banque alimentaire (food bank)
  • 45 kg of bio waste was collected by Tricyclerie for composting
An excellent initiative to be repeated as often as possible.
