Nantes University publishes its 2024–2026 activity report

Since its creation in 2022, Nantes Université has brought together the University of Nantes, Centrale Nantes, Nantes University Hospital, Inserm, ensa Nantes, Nantes Saint-Nazaire School of Fine Arts and IRT Jules Verne . This unique organisational structure aims to strengthen cooperation between institutions and to foster new synergies across the region in the fields of education, research and innovation.

Centrale Nantes plays a full part in this collective drive and in several key projects presented in this report. These collaborations enable the pooling of expertise and resources, and the development of new opportunities for students, researchers and socio-economic stakeholders in the region.

Flagship projects to which Centrale Nantes contributes

GLiCID: strengthening digital research capabilities

Centrale Nantes and Nantes University are involved in the development and operation of the future GLiCID data centre. This infrastructure is designed to strengthen the digital capabilities of laboratories and hospitals, particularly for the storage and processing of health and research data.

KIVO: bringing together engineering, science and entrepreneurship

Created by Centrale Nantes and Audencia, the KIVO incubator reached a new milestone in 2025 with the inclusion of Nantes University in its governance. This partnership reinforces a model based on the convergence of science, engineering, management and academic research to support entrepreneurial projects stemming from research.

Talent Office: enhancing the region’s scientific appeal

The Talent Office plays a part in Nantes University’s policy to enhance the region’s scientific appeal. Since its launch, the programme has supported the recruitment of 29 scientists in fields ranging from medical robotics to biomaterials and industrial and environmental transitions.

These initiatives provide a concrete illustration of the collaborative dynamic between the institutions of Nantes University. They demonstrate a shared commitment to building an academic ecosystem that is more open, interdisciplinary and connected to the region’s challenges.
